About Us

Heritage Inn Retirement Center is a licensed Assisted Living, Level One community.  We located at 702 S Hospital Drive, Clarksville, Arkansas near the Johnson County Regional Medical Center.  The community is part of a 3.5 acre complex designed specifically to serve the needs of the local communities senior residents.  The building footprint is approximately 30,000 square feet, contains 29 private residential apartments, and many common areas for the residents to use and enjoy.

The community has three types of private residential apartments one bedrooms, two bedrooms and studios.  An artistic representation containing room dimensions and the basic room layout of each type can be found on the floor plans tab of this site.  Each apartment has its own heating and cooling system with an individual thermostat, a private bathroom, and a pull-cord system to alert staff in case of emergencies.   Also, each apartment has a kitchen area with a small refrigerator and microwave.

Common Areas

The communities elegant sitting area and library is located right off the large main-entry hallway.  Across the hallway are the administrator offices and the residents private mailboxes.  The main-entry hallway continues into the main dining room where residents enjoy meals, social activities, and a view of the facilities totally enclosed court yard, where residents may sit, relax and take pleasure in the outdoors.  The music & piano room is located off the main dining room and many residents attend weekly singing services provided by a local church.

Other common areas include the exercise & activities room, where residents can play games, watch television, or use the communities fitness equipment. Some residents prefer to exercise by walking laps around the communities wide  and continuous hallways.  Another area frequented by residents is the beauty saloon where local beauticians  can visit the facility and provide services to residents.  Finally, should a resident choose to do their own laundry there are five laundry rooms located throughout the facility.

Each apartment has, and residents are encouraged to use the entry door locks.  Staff members can enter each apartment in case of emergency by using a master key.  All of the communities emergency exit doors are equipped with locking panic bars allowing residents to quickly evacuate in case of an emergency and securing the facility from outside entry.  The doors are also equipped an alarm system which alerts the staff if an emergency door is opened. Finally, a sixteen (16) channel video surveillance system records activity in some common areas, the main entry area, and all hallways.
